a) Construction Work: The good news for our esteemed donor is that the construction work of Ittefaq Kidney & General Welfare Hospital, by the Grace of Allah Almighty, has been completed. Now, we have a three-story 60-bedded huge building that is spread over an area of two kanals while covering 20,436 square ft space. We also have 12 Private rooms, 3 Wards, 6 Doctors rooms, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Laboratory rooms and very spacious waiting area. We have at no stage compromised on the quality of work. We have installed Champaign color lucky aluminum window all around, with tented glasses, which is not only an over lashing work but it also provides a beautiful look as well.

b) Installation of Electric Generator: With the help of Tanzeem-lil-Sahil-Wal-Mahroom we have this year finally achieved one of our important goal by the installation of a 100 KV Caterpillar Electric Generator. The frequent breakdown in WAPDA electric supply was a source of great inconvenience for our dialysis patients as well as for the functioning of the most sophisticated electronic equipment, the dialysis machine etc. But now after the installation of the above mentioned power generator we are providing uninterrupted dialysis services to our esteemed patients. The total cost of the electric generator is about Rs. 1.3 million and Tanzeem-lil-Sahil-Wal-Mahroom has very kindly donated Rs. 1 million in this regard.

c) Ultrasound: Since July 2007 we are providing ultrasound facilities to our patients at the reduced rates. Previously, we had obtained an ultrasound machine on rent, which was a financial burden for the hospital. However, now we have purchased a latest model new ultrasound unit from our own funds and given us the opportunity to provide cost free services to the poor patients.

d) X-Ray Unit: In March 2008 our X-Ray plant has started functioning. It is a most modern latest Japanese plant. The management is very keen to keep high standard and to maintain that only quality films like AGFA/FUJI are being used. However, the services are free for destitute and poor patients.

e) Clinical Laboratory: We have established our own most modern and well-equipped Clinical Laboratory on partnership basis. Our goal is to produce accurate clinical test results and ensure blood transparency of the highest standards. Competent, qualified and professional staff has been employed. The lab tests are totally free for the poor patients.

f) Addition of new Dialysis Machines: By the Grace of Allah Almighty we have added five new Dialysis Machines to our inventory. Two Youga Toray Dialysis Machines have been installed in our Kohat unit, whereas three Gambro Dialysis Machines have been placed in our Peshawar hospital. The total cost of these machines is expected to be around Rs. 3.8 million. Once again Tanzeem-lil-Sahil-Wal-Mahroom has generously donated Rs. 0.6 million for this project.

g) Dental Unit: In June 2008 a full fledge dental clinic with a dental OT has been established in the hospital by a renowned dentist Dr Rahid Murtaza and he is being assisted by two experienced lady dentists. The unit is already in function with full speed. We are getting a large number of dental patients, while our dental doctors are using disposable inspection kits.

h) Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Plant:

1. Peshawar Reverse Osmosis plant costing worth Rs. 400,000/- was installed with a capacity to provide pure/potable water up to 20 dialysis machines. Due to the frequent power breakdown the old plant had become a headache for the hospital as well as for the patients.

2. Similarly, a Reverse Osmosis plant costing worth Rs. 350,000/- was also installed in our Kohat unit with a capacity of 8 dialysis machines.

i) Tube Well: Like shortage of electricity the scarcity of water for dialysis patients was yet another serious problem. At a number of times, due to water shortage we were forced to hire a water tanker from the union council on payment basis. Finally, the management decided to have its own tube well and by the end of August 2008 it has started providing water. The estimated cost of this project is around Rs. 2.5 lac.
